What is Love and Records?
First held on September 17, 2011, Love and Records was a great success! It provided an event at which hundreds of Southern Albertans were able to meet to share their love of music. There were live performances throughout the day by Fist City, Lustre Creame, Loom, Stalwart Sons, The Gooeys, and Teledrome. In addition to the live music the event featured a wide variety of vendors selling such things as vinyl records, compact discs, tapes, posters, clothing, accessories, and food. Some of the vendors that attended the event were Heritage Posters and Music, Too North Records, Aaron Levin and Jonathan Murphy, Blueprint, Urku, J.A.G. Jewelry, Coffee Company, and Juice Fare among others.

Project Constraints
The project faces a number of constraints, including:
- Competition among events – other events occurring during the same day could lessen the appeal of the event to some attendees;
- Organizational capacity – limited resources to ensure event success given the time period (rush week, AGM planning, new volunteer training);
- Overall up-front expense of hosting the event – from insurance to permits and marketing, the event overhead quickly adds up;
- Weather – wind, rain, and snow could put a serious damper on the event.
